My name is Michael King and I'm the project manager of the The Lenox Farms apartment development project in Braintree, MA. The project consists of 338 luxury apartment units set in 41 buildings along with a clubhouse and outdoor pool. I originally awarded this project to a different electrical subcontractor as at the time I hadn't had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Young or his field staff and they weren't included in the original bid. Unfortunately, the electrician I hired came into some financial stress due to losses on a couple of his condo projects and couldn't meet the staffing requirements for the fast pace we had set out here. At that time I had to take on the ominous task of rebidding the project and splitting up the completed work, scoping the balance, dealing with materials and fixtures already purchased, dealing with the permits and inspections etc. Young Electrical services came to the table with not only a reasonable price but with a detailed list of questions, concerns and recommendations to ensure that the subcontract was executed in a way that left no exposure to either party. Coming into the beginning of a project of this size certainly requires a lot of preplanning and coordination. Coming in mid stream requires even more attention and Mr. Young, his estimating and field foremen staff stepped up to the plate and within 6 weeks of them being on site had helped us make up the time lost due to losing the other subcontractor. They have been professional throughout all phases of the construction process and have alerted us of many issues prior to them becoming critical and impacting the schedule.
